Metal Stampings
In search of reliable Cleveland metal stamping services? At ForMasters, our stamping processes are powered by cutting-edge computer-controlled feeders. With our precise press controls, we ensure consistent and conforming parts across short-to-long-run production batches. Prototype parts undergo meticulous layout inspection, while first parts from each batch are meticulously scrutinized to ensure adherence to specifications. Throughout production, we maintain stringent quality standards, conducting in-process and final inspections in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standards. Statistical Process Control (SPC) is also available upon request.
In metal stamping operations, various tasks are performed either at a single die station or across multiple stations within a single stroke of the stamping press. Dies used in single-station operations include compound dies, primarily utilized for cutting operations such as blanking and hole punching, and combination dies, which integrate cutting with shaping or forming processes.
Multiple station operations utilize stamping dies with several stations, where each station concurrently executes a step in the metal stamping process to complete a part. Finished stampings are discharged with each stroke.
Multiple station operations are carried out using progressive dies or transfer dies. In progressive die operations, parts are fabricated from continuous coil stock, which remains connected to the stock by a carrier strip throughout each successive operation until the final metal stamping is cut off and discharged from the die.
